Now, about the job:  What you will do at Rampart as a Senior Human Resources Generalist?



  • Assisting department managers with administering

    • Performance Management

    • Recruiting, Selecting, and Hiring

    • New Hire Orientation and Onboarding

    • Employee Relations

    • Terminations 



  • Facilitating problem resolution by offering possible courses of action; providing advice, guidance, and direction taking in account legal ramifications, morale, culture, consistency, policy, etc. 

  • Conducting internal investigations to resolve personnel issues

  • Identifying, researching, and developing relevant policies to support Rampart Strategy, Employment Law, Benefits, and best practice in managing human resources

  • Identifying, researching, and developing implementation strategies for training programs relevant to Ramparts HR needs

  • Recommends and may assist in providing training for management and staff

  • Ensures that policies, procedures, and practices are aligned with AA/EEO plan

  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements pertaining to HR administrative documents (e.g. HIPPA, FMLA, etc.)

  • Creating and updating user references (SOP)

  • Coordinating and administering various HR programs

  • Participating and leading in process improvement activities

  • Identifying and implementing organizational development processes and strategies  

  • Reviewing publications, attending seminars, belonging to professional associations

  • Working with HR Director to determine developmental needs that relate to goals and objectives

  • Working safely; following Ramparts safety program

  • Having Ramparts best interests in mind when conducting business on behalf of Rampart

  • Develops and/or rewrites job descriptions as necessary

  • Analyzes compensation

  • Administers the sites workers compensation program



Skills that make this person a success:



  • Proficient in all HR related Federal and State employment law (e.g. FLSA, HIPPA, COBRA, ERISA, Title VII etc.)

  • Well-rounded knowledge of benefit plan design, concepts and administration

  • Expert in application of HR principles in regards to recruiting, selection, performance management, termination processes etc.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with our employees

  • High level of communicating and coordinating with others

  • Working with all levels of the organization; interacting effectively with a wide variety of associates 

  • Receiving guidance and feedback in a constructive manner

  • Accuracy and detail orientation

  • Communicating effectively (written, oral, presentation and strong listening skills)

  • Time management in order to prioritize/organize, track details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates

  • Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence

  • Able to be issue focused and not person focused; ability to consider differing opinions or points of view



Youll need to have:



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems, Applicant Tracking Systems, and Payroll Systems

  • Prior experience and success collaborating cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders at all levels

  • The preferred candidate will have 5+ years of HR Generalist experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent education, training and experience

  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP, SHRM -SCP) preferred
