General Summary:

Leads the initiative in developing promotional campaigns and strategies to increase product adoption and usage and achieve corporate strategic goals. Develops and maintains expertise on the competitive landscape, understands our audience, and is able to demonstrate our competitive advantage across personas and pain points. Works cross-functionally within the department and Credit Union to determine internal (employee) and external (member) marketing needs while supporting overall goals and performing routine daily activities. Supports and executes the marketing plan and budget while upholding marketing and branding strategies and researching industry trends and key engagement tactics. Responsible for developing, enhancing, designing, and writing internal and external marketing (promotional and field/sales) materials. Cultivates relationships with needed vendors to support efforts. Ensures content on materials is accurate, branded, consistently and creatively presented, and available for distribution on time based on the project timeline and goals.


Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Translate organizational goals into actionable strategies and campaigns to drive performance aligning with: brand standards, compliance regulations, and key objectives.

  • Research industry trends, market competition and parallel products/services, and marketing strategies to recognize key differentiators and recommend ways to improve our messages and product line. Put us in a positive position to engage members/potential members.

  • Understand and identify our target audience, develop messaging on how to engage with them effectively to encourage action. 

  • Develop innovative and unique campaign strategies that wow us from inception through completion. Lead the direction of each aspect of the project including (but not limited to): mail pieces, email, digital marketing pieces, in-branch promotional materials, employee engagement pieces, web content, etc.

  • Work closely with the entire Marketing team to produce relevant content meeting the needs of both the Credit Union and members.

  • Oversee and often contribute to the design of various campaign/promotional efforts.

  • Create and organize post-campaign summaries including KPIs and overall success. This includes collecting and identifying key findings and opportunities for improvement in future initiatives.

  • Clearly communicate concepts, accept constructive feedback, contribute and provide feedback to team members.

  • Manage multiple promotions and projects at one time; effectively utilize a project management tool/software to manage workload.

  • Work closely with vendors, printers, and other outside resources including an advertising agency to execute projects accurately and efficiently.

  • Conduct ad hoc analyses, presentations, and special projects as needed.

  • Understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated with this position.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to speak and understand fluent English.

Requirements: Bachelors in Marketing/Communications or related degree; 3+ years of experience in promotion/marketing; excellent verbal and written communication skills; possess passion for creating and executing marketing campaigns including the ability to orchestrate details; adhere to a steadfast paced workday; excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills; motivated, enthusiastic, responds to change, and is willing to learn; proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Adobe Suite. Design experience is required.
