Job Summary



 


The Production Manager is responsible for leading, directing and managing the Cabinet operation.  This includes developing new products and overseeing the development to ensure smooth production.  This position also handles material selection, buying and communicating with suppliers.


 


Responsibilities:


 


Ensure high levels of productivity, work quality and job satisfaction are met.


Ensure all products are completed on time and packaged properly for shipping.


Supervise the activities and employees engaged in assembly of products within the Cabinets area. 


Apply and enforce all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules. 


Develop, direct, and manage Cabinets employees and train them to properly utilize all equipment and tools and to maintain product quality and meet customer requirements. 


Monitors production yields on a daily basis; make adjustments as necessary to maintain delivery schedules.


Planning of production runs and delivery coordination.


Correct, maintain, and enforce all inventory levels. 


All other duties as assigned.


 


Requirements:


 


High School Diploma or GED


Have the technical and managerial skills required to effectively manager the production process.


Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation and conflict resolution skills. 


Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 


Strong written and verbal communication skills. 


Solid arithmetic skills and measurements are essential. 


Ability to read blueprints is a plus 


Mechanical aptitude is a plus. 


Minimum of 3 - 6 years supervisory experience preferred in manufacturing. 


Experience using CAD/CAM Software in a manufacturing setting.


Knowledge of CNC computerized equipment to include normal operations; preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.


Frequently able to lift 40 lbs by self and up to 70 lbs with assistance.


Frequently able to stand for long periods; ability to move around unaided (tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting, and pushing and pulling).


Frequent hand and finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer keyboard, basic hand tools and cabinetry equipment.
