TICO is an equipment logistics solutions company that has been in business since 1946. While based out of Savannah, TICO has locations throughout the coastal and interior United States. We are looking for Mechanics of all skill levels for our Charleston, SC location as we are currently expanding.

Pay is commensurate on your experience. At a minimum, applicants should have basic experience/knowledge regarding general vehicle maintenance.  Diesel and heavy truck experience is a plus and on-the-job training is available for everyone who shows interest in learning more. Even if you have very little experience but this is something you have a passion to learn, try us.


Some of the different types of equipment worked on includes jockey trucks, over-the-road trucks, trailers, forklifts and automobiles. So theres sure to be something youd enjoy working on!



You must:

       Pass a background check

       Possess a valid drivers license

       Have or be willing to acquire tools




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Some of the different types of equipment worked on includes jockey trucks, over-the-road trucks, trailers, forklifts, and automobiles. So theres sure to be something youd enjoy working on! 


  • Minimum 5 years mechanical experience, familiar with Cummins Diesel engines and Allison transmissions, electrical and electronic systems

  • Performs at a high-efficiency level in all work types including but not limited to engine overhaul, transmissions, rear and front ends, hydraulic, and air brake systems

  • Uses electronic diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair computer-controlled systems

  • Inspect, repair, diagnose and perform general repairs on all truck mechanical systems.

  • Tune engines by setting overhead, removing and replacing fuel pumps, injection pumps, and injectors

  • Has the technical ability to teach upcoming technicians on general repair processes.

  • Has work knowledge in refrigerant and HVAC repairs

  • Perform test drive to ensure equipment is functioning properly

  • Communicates with co-workers, management,  in a professional and positive manner.

  • Presents ones self with a professional appearance, supports safe working habits, and complies with

  • all company policies.

  • Conduct teamwork within the department.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Effective written communication skills document work hours, parts utilized, and work performed.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and flow-charts used to diagnose truck systems.

  • Comply with company/agency safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area. 

  • Wear required personal protection equipment during the performance of job duties.
