Position Summary:

Operate industrial machine equipped to move materials around the warehouse. This position is responsible for verifying correct orders are loaded and unloaded in our temperature controlled warehouse. Candidates must be able to safely bend, pickup, carry, lift, and transfer 50 lbs of boxed product.



Shift Schedule:

1st Shift starting 8 am, Monday-Friday. Weekends as needed.



Responsibilities and Duties:



  • Operate sit down forklift and other industrial machinery to load, unload, transport, or stack material

  • Complete customer orders and prepare for transfer to trailers

  • Load and unload trailers in timely, safe, and accurate manner

  • Receive and put away products in accurate and efficient manner 

  • Dispose of waste materials and by-products

  • Communicate potential problems or issues to supervisor

  • Other duties as assigned by lead or supervisor



Qualifications:



  • At least 1 year of experience with sit-down forklift and willingness to be certified within 30 days of hire

  • Strong communication and customer relations skills

  • Strong math and reading comprehension skills

  • General understanding of various functions of a distribution center

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Warehouse experience and material handling equipment experience preferred

  • Computer-literate with the ability to learn and become proficient in any software program

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree preferred
