Job Details

This is a temporary position estimated to run through the end of the year, with potential to convert to employee.

PacBio is looking for a highly-motivated individual with content marketing experience to help develop and execute compelling campaigns across our long-read sequencing market segments.

What you get to do daily

You will focus on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent scientific marketing content to attract and retain clearly defined audiences, and ultimately drive demand across our market segments  Plant and Animal Sciences (PAS), Human Biomedical Research (HBR), Microbial and Infectious Disease.

You will work collaboratively with internal Marketing teams including application scientists, market segment leads and product management to ensure scientific integrity of newly generated content and alignment with our strategic market messaging.  You will then coordinate across the marketing and regional marketing organization to deploy newly created content through communication and distribution channels to drive engagement with a defined target end-user audience.

You will also be responsible for collaborating with the broader marketing team to distill new high-impact scientific literature (publications and presentations) into engaging new content marketing pieces to inspire our target audience.  This will require marketing savvy for identifying the best ways to create and distribute new content and messaging across a variety of channels to maximize impact.

Keys to your success in this role

In this role, you will partner with the extended marketing and commercial teams to identify content marketing opportunities, develop those into marketing assets, and distribute newly created assets through various marketing campaigns to build awareness and generate leads.  Maintaining focus on key performance indicators, including content engagement across distribution channels, will be critical to your success.

To really excel in this position, you must be a passionate marketer and communicator who has the capacity to understand and distill scientific concepts into creative and compelling marketing content to engage your audience.

Whats in it for you

You will get to work alongside a small yet agile team of smart, creative and driven marketers in the cutting-edge field of long-read sequencing. What we do on a daily basis helps scientists better understand the world we live in and, in many ways, helps them make it a better place to live.

  • Develop fresh story ideas for discussion with external PR agency
